If this is to be believed, it was one of the worst communication fails in Male/Female history.
I would love to think it was a prank…but honestly, I’ve met people like “Em”…and I’m afraid that it happened JUST that way.

Phone cards aren’t that expensive. I am sure he could have purchased one. Granted she is insecure and a bit on the psycho side, but he knew how dumb she was when he left for the trip.
If this is true sounds to me like he is better off without the moron.
I laughed at the email that said not to read any of the others. I just about cried at the rest thinking that Em could be a real person.
What the hell was he thinking? If a simple phone call is too expensive for him to assure her, then she deserves a better man.
I’d give her call if I were him. One bloody call can save a relationship. Just pick up the fucking phone and say you love her.
