  • Epic Parenting FAIL…

    http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/mom-cut-ponytail-judge-daughter-utah-151037132.html

Observe…the 13 year old found it amusing to cut hair from a three year old child she did not know.

The judge said she could have a reduced sentence…IF her mother cut her ponytail off in the court room.

The mother is claiming “trauma” and wants to sue the judge.

So I guess the trauma suffered by the three year old her daughter SCALPED in a McDonald’s doesn’t count?

It was strictly optional…she could have taken the FULL sentence…but she wanted a reduction.

I would have been a helluva lot more “traumatized” to know that I had raised a 13 year old monster, who thought nothing of violating another kid by lopping off their hair…

  • I weep for humanity every day. This increases my tear count for today.

  • I think reducing the girls sentence no matter what is a mistake.    That poor child whose hair they cut off is permanently sentenced to the trauma aftermath of what they did to her.

  • *sigh*  Some people just never mature.

  • WTF is wrong with people?  Seriously?  I was reading through the comments and allegedly this girl has threatened other children.  What does she have to do in order for the mother to realize that something is wrong with her child and not the rest of the world.

  • The mother should realize that there is something wrong with her teen. Obviously she doesn’t.

  • A teen cutting a “toddler’s hair? Preposturous. The teen needs help and better parents.

  • I like that Judges option. :) Morons tend to just not get that other peoples rights are just as important as their own. That poor 3 year old.

  • Great day! This kid has some real issue’s!

  • Bruno said, “An eye for an eye, that’s not how you teach kids right from wrong.”

Interesting,  because I think that’s the best way to teach empathy.  I don’t think incompetent parents should have a say in determining how the law compensates for their failures.

  • Seriously?  Shes 13.  If she doesn’t like it then she won’t do it again.

  • @plursheep - The article said this girl has a record for messing with small children…so I have no idea if this will make her smarten up, or not.

  • @galadrial - If I were her mom, I’d tell the judge to get me some shears.  I’d shave ALL of her hair off and then whoop her butt in front of EVERYONE.  THEN I’d make her apologize to that little girl if we were allowed.

  • @plursheep - I think if her mom had applied any sort of control, none of that would be needed…but clearly this chick is off her gourd…threatening children?

  • Oh, my goodness!  I love when judges come up with wacky stuff like this!  My daughter would have showed up to court bald!  Of course, I’m not a totally idiot parent.  If this 13-year-old is doing crap like this to little kids, the manipulation; someone else is screwing with this teenager.  I doubt she learned this stuff on her own.  She needed some serious mental help and the mother needs to be tarred and feathered!  Can we bring back that punishment?  I sure as hell hope some nutty judge reviewer type doesn’t rule in favor of the mother.
