Romney & Ryan?
Wow…I always suspected the GOP would try to throw this race…but RYAN?
That should hand Florida to Obama…along with any other state with with a large elderly population.
Gotta love it.
Ryan would ax Welfare and Social Security…but he COLLECTED SS to get through college…making him a hypocrite, and the PERFECT foil for Romney’s lack of anything.
Nothing like a Fascist to perk up the negative ratings, Mittens…

that should hand any State with a large number of Catholics to President Obama too since the U.S Council of Bishops call Ryan’s economic plan immoral and a group of Catholic nuns decided to run a nationwide bus tour for the sole purpose of telling Americans the Ryan plan is immoral.
that should hand any State in which the majority of voters are middle class (all 50 last i looked) to President Obama because the non-partisan Tax Policy Center (which Romney praised during his primary campaign) said the Ryan plan will raise taxes on middle class families with children by an average of $2,000/year to pay for the tax break of over $700,000/year his plan will give people who make $3 million a year or more.
of course any State in which the majority of people are women and children should go to Obama anyway since Romney has said the first thing he’ll do if elected is take away the health benefits they received due to the healthcare reform bill. Romney will also bring back the Bush policies which got us into this mess in the first place….even double down on them.
also notable is that political campaigns traditionally release news on weekends when they fear investigative news coverage which does not normally report on weekends will be negative. (CNN is for the most part not an investigative news station)
Knowing what America is really like, the Republicans will win and have a majority in both houses of congress and be back in the White House and then DISMANTLE SOCIAL SECURITY which they’ve been dreaming about for many years and then OLD PEOPLE WILL BE IN THE GUTTER.
I think this country could turn into a torture chamber in 10 years or less.
The streets filled with old people begging?
The world running out of oil?
It’s like that really sick cartoon in The New Yorker where the bald guy is standing on the deck of a yacht grinning and it’s really a Roman galleon with slaves rowing- no outboard or inboard motor and you can’t see the slaves, only their oars.
Americans want a strongman, like Genghis Khan, or like the king Guz from the Alley Oop cartoon.
HEY,..remember,..the GOP was the party that tried to shove Sarah Palin down our throats!! I don’t even want to know what other blessings that it will bestow on this country if Romney is elected!! GADS!!
@Stanelle - I’m half convinced they want to lose…hence the Ryan pick. They barely can stand Romney (the GOP)…and they pair him with a tea party darling? What, there were no decent choices that don’t bite the heads off chickens?
How do you equate Ryan as a fascist? I consider him a Capitalist.
@DrummingMediocrity - If you read the Fetal “personhood” Bill he co-sponsored, you’d have your answer.
@galadrial - I suppose it depends on your definition of fascism, where the government takes an undue authoritarian position. I agree with the horror of that bill, but it easily died and likely would continue to die in congress due to its absurdity. My version of fascism is where the government takes control of the private enterprise through regulation and excessive taxation, thereby destroying the natural harmony of capitalism. It’s already happened and is getting worse; so unlike the former example of tyranny, this is a much more realistic, present threat.
@DrummingMediocrity - So your saying that controlling half the American race, base don gender isn’t as important as regulating Wall Street.?
You have read The Jungle, by Sinclair Lewis I assume?
@galadrial - I’m saying it’s not a legitimate threat because most lawmakers would not support it, just as it was shut down in congress initially by even the most conservative of voters. Serious cronyism of the government IS a viable and current, paralyzing threat to many American industries.
@DrummingMediocrity - I’m a bit more concerned about the threat to living breathing people…silly me.
@galadrial - I would be concerned too if it were a legitimate threat.
