If You Think you Love Your Significant Other, READ this….

I mean it.
The author has tanked two marriages…which is sad…but he LEARNED something.
While I am not in absolute agreement with him on all 16, at least a dozen are why I am now living alone. I’m sure the guys will find it one sided…but as a couple’s counselor told me years back, if only one person is happy in a marriage, it’s NOT a marriage. You don’t need a reason to leave…but you need one to STAY…

Aw, that was so sweet! I could never send that link to my spouse. He would think I was making a comment about our marriage.
@ordinarybutloud - The sad part is a few men I knew came back with BUT SHE…I didn’t say it was one sided. Yet when a person has a laundry list ready to explain why they didn’t HOLD a woman’s hand…or remember to kiss her?
You got ISSUES!
@galadrial - it’s definitely on both sides. But someone has to give or it’s an endless stalemate.
awesome. I could improve too in some of those ways
the mr actually does many of those things now. for the longest time he didn’t. recently he apologized for neglecting me the last few years, how lucky he really is. I think he realized he could really lose me
better late than too late
@ordinarybutloud - Endless compromise will wear you down. I can testify to that. Especially when all you hear about is when you “failed” from someone who never tries…period.
@bonmots - Absolutely!
I enjoyed this!
I certainly found it “one sided” as you said, but it was one-sided in such a way that both sexes should be able to relate. It’s got more to do with both sides learning that someone’s got to give and it’ll be best if both sides gave.
Great article ~ thanks for sharing!
Good advice
