A few hours ago, they arrested a man in Newark Airport for carrying a loaded gun in his carry on luggage. He claims that he “forgot” it was in there.
I claim that anyone that “forgetful” should not be in possession of a firearm.
People were not allowed to carry NAIL CLIPPERS for years after 9-11.
You still can’t carry a bottle of water on a plane. Or into an amusement park…or a court house.
Anyone THAT stupid or mentally impaired should NOT be near a gun.
It’s not like keys, or your wallet. It’s something that can fire and KILL someone.
And anyone who had a problem with it is BULLSHIT when they say that they support “lawful use” of guns…because this WASN’T.

That’s just how careless some people are and it’s very scary. Anyone who travels much at all should know better than to put big metal things in their carry on! By the way, you can take on water or whatever as long as you buy it in the secure area.
I haven’t seen anything on this story yet but damn. I’m guessing there are plenty of people crying his constitutional rights are being violated.
my guess is that he was one of them arrogant assholes who thinks that he would be the one person who would get away with bringing a gun on a plane. I mean he probably wasn’t a threat and probably would not have done anything on the plane. but that doesn’t change the fact that he still should not have done it.
They gave a gun permit to someone that stupid????!!!!
Sadly, I think he did forget. I think the nation is getting to used to private gun ownership which needs to change. The person proabably carried it around like a toy and packed it lke he packed his underwear.

@heckels - Well hon…I’m more concerned about “forgetting” where he put a loaded weapon. If he is that impaired, he shouldn’t HAVE ONE.
